Fiddle Demonstration: Matt Combs
Matt Combs, fiddle player, has performed or recorded
with Elizabeth Cook, the Nashville Bluegrass Band,Ray Price, Curly Seckler, Mike Snider, the Tennessee
Mafia Jug Band, and others. Combs is a member of the Nashville Chamber
Orchestra and adjunct instructor in fiddle and director of the fiddling program
at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music.

blazing a trail followed by artists such as Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Reba
McEntire.

Visit and record a song at Historic RCA Studio B,
former recording home of Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, the Everly Brothers, and
many more. In this interactive workshop, participants learn the history of RCA
Studio B and the basics of the recording process by acting as artist, producer,
and engineer.

Nashville Cats: Buddy Spicher
Fiddler
Buddy Spicher was only nineteen when Audrey Williams heard him play on the WWVA
Jamboree in Wheeling, W.Va. She brought him to Nashville, where he became a sideman to the
legends of country music, including Bill Monroe, Ray Price, Hank Snow, Kitty
Wells, and Faron Young.
